Welcome to the
Tiered Bikinis for the Difference
Probably the least common, thus ‘uncommon’ or ‘unique(!)’, swimsuits you will see are tiered bikinis. That, in itself, is enough reason to pick one of these – just to be a little bit different from everyone else on the beach or at the pool!
There is a Difference
Flouncing swimsuits, with its one strip of gathered material added usually to the top of the bikini or one-piece, are not the same as tiered bikinis. Tiered obviously means two or more layers of cloth, one strip of material above another. This creates a layered, tiered, or tiled look that can be quite appealing.
Here, There, Everywhere
The tiered material can be on either the top or the bottom of a bikini set, on a tankini, or on a one-piece swimsuit. There are often just two tiers if around the waist, but on the top or on a one-piece, there can be multiple tiers. Just like ruffles, fringes, tassels, and flounces, the extra decorative material on tiered bikinis can help draw attention to or away from different parts of your body.
Granted you can use tiers to add to a small bustline or detract attention from the tummy area, but the main reason to wear tiered bikinis is that they are fun! And there are styles for everyone, from XS to 7XL. No excuses!
Your Reason Matters
Whether you want to use a tiered bikini for the effect it has on how your body looks or just want to add something unique and fun to your stylish collection, these might be for you. And when you are weary of getting stared at in your other swimwear, it’s nice to just get compliments on your choice of swimsuit!
At times you might feel pressured by advertisements, or by your own sense of need, to ‘stand out’ in a slinky bikini or other cling-to-the-skin swimsuit. Instead, when you want to simply lighten the stress and present your more fun-loving side, be sure to give tiered bikinis some consideration!
